Rooted in the values of resilience, family, and determination, Ida’s Sandwich Shop is more than just a local eatery—it’s the living legacy of a mother’s unwavering commitment to creating a better life for her family. Inspired by her mother’s tireless work ethic, Charla Thomas dreamed of building something lasting in her own Northside neighborhood. Alongside co-founder Erica Sumpter, she brought that dream to life. Ida’s isn’t just a name—it’s a tribute to strength, sacrifice, and the power of turning vision into reality.
